Western Style Fried Glutinous Rice
Deep Fried Peanuts
Chopped Spring Onions
Fresh Straw Mushrooms
Sweet Soy Sauce (or mixture of dark soy sauce, light soy sauce and sugar)
Soak the glutinous rice in water for 3 hours or more. Beat the eggs. Pan fry and cut into strips. Set aside.
Put bacons, hams, onions, mushrooms and Shaoxing wine into the Smart Stir Fryer. Close the lid and stir fry for 3 minutes. Set aside.
Put glutinous rice and water into the Stir Fryer. Close the lid and stir fry for 10 minutes until fully cooked. Open the lid and add appropriate amount of water in the middle of the frying process if necessary.
Add the sauted ingredients and sweet soy sauce when there is 1 minute left. Stir well. Sprinkle with peanuts, coriander, spring onions and egg strips.
Maria's Tips: Add corn starch into the beaten eggs to make it easier to create a complete omelette. Add water gradually when stir frying the glutinous rice. Pour in water only when the rice gets dry.
