Shower heads with on/off valves are not suitable for use with the German Pool "Shower Type" storage electric water heaters GPN, GPNB-5, GPN-2TL and GPNB-6SSL. According to The Electrical and Mechanical Services Department of Hong Kong, customers must not install shower heads with on/off valve for "Shower Type" storage electric water heaters, as the on/off valve will hinder the release of pressure inside the water heater, and thus lead to explosion when there is excessive pressure.
