Answer:
The upper outlet, called “Continuous Drainage Outlet”, is for draining off excess condensation water with a drain hose (supplied) when the unit is performing dehumidifying, cooling or heating functions. The lower one, named "Condensation Drain Port", is for releasing residual water so that the water tank can be emptied before the unit is put away in storage or transported.
